What you can do with a class set of cheap digital cameras
- Camtasia and SnagIt are software programs available from Techsmith. SnagIt is a custom screen shot program, and Camtasia offers the ability to do small mpeg movies of your desktop accompanied by voice-over instructions. This would be useful for creating tutorials on how to accomplish something on the computer. More ideas found at http://www.techsmith.com

- show at open house (in a loop)
- morph, aging software notes trailed off must have been too engrossed to write
Morph software comes free with Hyper Studio
Use two photos - for example: portrait of self and headshot of animal - and then the human can morph into the animal or visa-versa! When taking the portrait shots of the humans, a plain background of one color makes it easy to erase the background.

Easy ways to make books from photos are readily available.
iPhoto also allows you to make books from your pictures and submit them for publication electronically. The bound books come in different sizes and are snail-mailed to you when they are completed. They make wonderful gifts!
Some book ideas include books of poetry, quotes, stories and trips.
- You can organize your pictures and and make them web ready in Picasa (free) or Photohop Elements 3 (low cost)

Choosing Cameras
- What features are important to you?
- Optical zoom is what matters - digital zoom is pretty useless
- Look for built-in anti-shake feature
- Get a mini-tripod so you will take it with you AND use it!
- Don't buy more camera than you need
- Low cost cameras
